I've been kicking around an idea for a home-made scenario for Claustrophobia.
It's not fully fleshed out yet, and I wish I had a program to format it like Croc's, but here are my thoughts, thus far.
1) The Heroes begin the game with The Redeemer and 3 of the other fools. Hero players choice if he/she wants the extra Brute or Blade...
2) The Demon player begins with 0 TPs and can summon the scenario's unique Demon one time for a cost of 5 TPs. His stats will be below.
3) The Gauntlet (map) is laid out ahead of time in the following fashion.
The Heroes begin in the Pentacle Room. In a straight line connect the following boards, all in a row (a gauntlet, right? )
Booby-Trapped Tunnel>>>Hungry Tunnels>>>Lair>>>Hungry Tunnels>>>Booby-Trapped Tunnel>>>Exit.
4) When/if 2 of the 4 Heroes are able to reach the Exit space, they simply must survive for 1 more turn. If a Hero begins his turn on the Exit space, he can "portal" off the map and count as 1 of the two needed for victory.
So, these are my preliminary ideas...simple, yes.
But I am intending a very fast, brutal scenario. Meant to force a mad-dash on the Heroes' behalf, while allowing the Demon to pummel and deal out as much quick pain as possible.
I have no solid numbers or thoughts on the Demon Lord's statistics/abilities. He should be tough, however, with only the one summoning allowed.
The small amount of tunnels should make for an interesting bloodbath.
This is also why I thought to start the Demon with 0 TP...
Please help flesh it out. The scenarios released thus far are by no means "too long", in fact, the game plays very quickly to its credit!
I just thought a small set-up/space requirement would be cool to have. And I've always loved the idea of a gauntlet...
I'm just sad I won't have time before next week-end to try the idea.
Croc will be with us in Indy for GENCON. They are working on a special scenario for the event. I will not be surprised if the scenario will be like this one, quick and brutal.
It sounds fun, and something I would be interested in trying out.
