Pass: If a single player discards 3 spell (4 if there are 5 or more players) while in the French Hill streets during the Arkham Encounter Phase, return this card to the box. Each player gains 2 Clue tokens.
Fail: If there are over 5 Clue tokens on this card, return it to the box. From now on, draw 2 mythos cards each Mythos Phase. Ignore everything on the first card except for the gate opening.
I've only played a couple of games, and in my second (solo, with 2 investigators) I drew this card. I tried to pass the rumor but I ran out of cash and didn't get enough spells in time, and so I failed. From then on I drew two mythos cards. My questions:
- When it says "ignore everything on the first card except the gate opening", does the gate still spawn a monster?
- If two gates open that turn, do I add two tokens to the doom track?
Because I was struggling already, I chose to fudge it and didn't add extra monsters nor the extra doom tokens. But should I have?
