My monthly tallying of game purchases.
Ticket to Ride "Upgrade" - $20 for a new version of the game with white bordered cards and the Mystery Train expansion included.
Daytona 500 (eBay) - Bought based on comments read on BGG. Seemed like a title that should be part of my collection.
Rommel in the Desert - Reprint version. Some folks have been waiting for this reprint for years! I got lucky and ordered just before it went to print.
Heart of Africa (pre-owned copy, not eBay)
Thunder at Cassino (eBay) - Collecting the AH "Area movement, Impulse system" games.
Turning Point: Stalingrad (eBay) - Another AH "Area movement, Impulse system" game.
RAF (eBay) - Highly rated solitare game on the Battle of Britain. Now I can have a "shoot out" between this game and London's Burning (purchased last month).
Lightning: D-Day - I like Lightning: Midway and this title has good buzz, including a ringing endorsement from Alan Moon, so I had to get it!
Doom the Boardgame - Christmas present (but I bought it...). Lots of fun and I didn't have to buy a new video card to be able to play it!
Heroscape Malliddon's Prophecy Expansion Set (Complete set, 4 packs) - As much as I've enjoyed Heroscape, I think I'm buying the game and expansions because they always seem to be in short supply. (To begin with, anyway.)
Atlantic Storm (eBay) - Probably payed too much for this game, but it seems to currently be selling at a premium price on eBay. I guess there were enough of us who want the game to force the price up.
NEWS to me!
WOW! I didn't 'realize' that there was SOOOOO much 'Card-playing' drama related to "D-Day"! No wonder it was a hard-fought, trick-taking, partner-goading, sit-down around the 'Card-table' "Campaign" that lasted for such a loooooong time!
