Today I trained two new Cadets, Dan and Rebecca, who caught on quickly. With my First Mate and Communications Office Amanda and Captain Matt, we embarked on two missions with me as the Security Expert.
Our first mission should have gone swimmingly. With a Space Octopus headed our way early on, Matt and I perfectly coordinated a takedown.
What Captain Matt left out was that he was not content to sit still while I took the Graviton Chamber to the lower level, and used this time to charge the shields. I suppose Captain Matt is not familiar with the power systems on his ship.
However, we fared much better in our second mission and emerged victorious with minimal ship damage.
At T+1, a Destroyer appeared in Zone Red. I rushed over and began firing the cannon while Cadet Dan went with me and took the Graviton to the lower level just in time to recharge the reactor after I took my shots.
Meanwhile, as the others took care of the Screen Saver and began to spread out, I got a message over my headset. T+2 and our warheads had become unstable. I alerted the crew to this problem and marked the problem area clearly with three markers to indicate the unstable warheads. First Mate and CO Amanda rushed down to take care of this.
Meanwhile, Captain Matt and Cadet Rebecca prepared for the Pulse Ball that was headed our way in Zone White at T+3. Cadet Rebecca heroically blasted it away in one shot while Captain Matt went downstairs to give the main reactor some power. Cadet Rebecca then moved in the Blue zone.
At T+4 an Amoeba was headed our way in Zone Red. I just kept firing the Heavy Cannon there that Cadet Dan had recharged for me and it was eliminated with two quick blasts. Meanwhile, Cadet Dan powered up the Battlebots.
At T+5, the Computer alerted us to a Meteorite headed our way on a short trajectory in Zone White. I rushed over just in time to see the Meteorite closing in. I could have blasted it, but I saw the Computer beginning to enter sleep mode. I dove at it and punched it in the side instead, preventing the Screen Saver from disrupting our plans, though the crumpling and falling pieces of the ship caused by the Meteorite's impact may have done that for me anyhow. Our partially charged shields absorbed some of the damage, but we took some structural damage and our Heavy Cannon, Light Cannon, and Shields were damaged.
We didn't have much time for that, though. At T+6, Commandos gained entry to our ship! Luckily, I alerted Cadet Dan, who lied in wait for them while Cadet Rebecca recharged the main reactor and CO Amanda fired off some rockets in anticipation of another threat arriving. Cadet Dan heroically attacked the Commandos as soon as they came his way, not allowing for retaliation against his Battlebots. He made short work of them a moment later, and then recharged his Bots and took the Graviton up.
At T+8, the final threat to our ship arrived; a Cryoshield Fighter attacking Zone Blue. Matt blasted it once to break its initial shielding, and then moved back to the Bridge to smash the computer keyboard and prevent the Screen Saver from slowing us down. Cadet Rebecca blasted the Light Cannon in coordination with CO Amanda's rockets.
Just as Captain Matt was about to let us know that there were no more threats to our ship, Cadet Dan announced that he would be saving the day and dove into the Interceptors with his Battlebots. I guess he didn't realize there would be nothing to intercept out there! Luckily, he made it back just in time for us to make the hyperspace jump safely.
Total points: 2 (surviving Meteorite) + 28 (defeating all other threats) - 8 (4 total damage, 4 damage in highest damaged zone) = 20 points.

Great report. Thanks for sharing it! I liked a lot that you added and consistently used names so readers can get a feel for the flow; and everyone's personality.
My wife ordered this for my birthday but it won't be here for another week at the earliest; for now I have to live vicariously through others. Keep sharing those sessions!
