Hi all,

I would like to know if the event associated to Luther Martin

No one may speak in debate for the remainder of the current round

stops the event associated with Pierce Butler

Move up two spaces on the Large States debate track

And if the same is true for Jonh Dickinson and the other delegates which adjusts the debate track?

Asked the other way: Will the Luther Martin event only stop the 'speak in debate' action or also all events regarding to the debate track?

I also agree with Phil. That's not "Speaking in Debate", it's something else which has an effect of adjusting the debate track.

I agree with this answer.

It was also debated here, but I'm still waiting on the designer's official word.

I'm not the designer, but I will say that you are correct.

The permanent event on Luther Martin DOES NOT STOP the effects of other events.

Now if I were to post my string of agreements with all that has gone before, would I be introducing recursion to this issue? Oh wait... I already did.

I am all for a recursion diversion.

But if the event said "Speak in a debate for two points without discarding any delegate", then it would be blocked. (And totally awkwardly worded, but that's a different topic).
