Hi, all.

I wonder which is the most famous city in boardgaming for every letter of the alphabet (like 'Carcassonne' for 'C', for example). Please add your list (no need to be complete), and I will make a poll for each letter when we've reached enough entries.

A-
B-
C-
.
.
.

Thank you!

EDIT: Underlined 'city'.

Well, though Monopoly isn't beloved on boardgamegeek, it is popular and it is set (originally) in Atlantic City...

I think it is easier this way, and then create a geeklist to make the polls.

B - Bombay (now Mumbai)
G - Genoa
R - Rome from Glory to Rome or from most Italian themed games
S - San Juan or St. Petersburg

This was tough as I wanted to keep listing countries and not specific cities.

Someone has done something similar before - it was kind of a "World Tour" type thing, like someting you might have on a T'shirt for a band (like U2 say).

Puerto Rico is not a city - San Juan might be better, but there are other candidates like Santiago, St Petersburg etc.

Some other ones of the top of my head:

Cartagena (although Carcassone probably a better option)
Florence
Genoa
Hamburgum?
London (or Le Havre even)
Manila

T -
U - Uppsala
V - Venice (or maybe Valley Forge)
W - Warsaw

I was thinking about something more 'eurogame', but thank you

I should have said it on the OP.

Not exactly famous in boardgaming, I'd say.

There's also Xanadu. Not exactly famous either, but at least it's a complete game instead of just one place on a map.

And also in China

BTW, fun idea. You inspired me to start a copycat thread over at RPG.net for famous cities from role playing games.
