thanks in large part to this website, I have rediscovered how great board games are.
I just purchased
DOOM
LOTR CONFRONTATION
BETRAYAL AT THE HOUSE
WAR OF THE RINGS
BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER

They're all great and I'm looking to add to my collection. I was looking at adding something like those games or heroscape, runebound or maybe memoir 44. Any recommendations for those games or something that would compliment my current collection?

and these

Mutant Chronicles
...as well as "Fury of the Clansmen"
and "Blood Berets"
as 'expansions' for the BASIC game of this! Nice choice!

You might be interested in the upcoming release of Arkham Horror.
You might want to check out the upcoming (and revamped) release of Arkham Horror. It has a Lovecraftian setting and involves monster bashing. You play Investigators who are trying to thwart the Cthulhoid menace goo . You run around gathering items, spells, etc and fighting monsters and closing gates. It is played co-operatively which is nice for a change.
