Hey guys,

Looking to finally play this next week. What's a good scenario? Doesn't have to be the intro one as we're not afraid to just jump right in...

Scenario could be from the module or a C3i, I think I have most.

I've played a few SPQR scenarios but otherwise haven't played a ton of GBoH.

Hi Andrew,

Hydaspes, is very good, balanced and very hard to win from Macedonian side like from Indian Side.

Alexander has HC, PH e above all his high Initiative;
Porus has EL as if rain, poor LI but DS vs LC and can count on time for creating a double, triple line of defence.

Here is a very good information resource site about the secnarios from which you can choose to play. They gave analysis to almost all official scenarios and I choose the scenarios to play last time with the help of the site:

What problem? I can still access the Database and you can sort the scenarios by balance.

Although it's not the typical Alexander battle, I think Pelium would also make a good starter. I thought it was a pretty fun little scenario.

If you have C3i #1, the Marathon scenario is extremely useful for running through the basic mechanics of GBoH and Alexander.

Even if you don't have the mag you can look at the pdf here http://www.gmtgames.com/c3i/1_1_Marathon.pdf

This is a great, small, starter scenario, and it also happens to mark the beginning of Classical Warfare - very appropriate!
