Hi,

I wrote a review a few weeks ago and inserted some pictures from the game's page. When the review was submitted, all of the pictures were smaller than I would have liked. Is there a way that you can use the formatting to modify the picture sizes?

Thanks

Quote me to see how it looks without the extra spaces.

Best look at the wiki-formatting page here on BGG:
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/wiki/page/Wiki_Formatting

Not only will it tell you how to insert different size pictures but also some other BGG specific features like users and game-pictures.

[ username = indigopotter ] without the spaces for example will get you:

A nice little tip for people showing others how to do stuff:

Instead of putting:

"Type [ user = indigopotter ] but without the spaces",

you can put:

"Type [user=indigopotter]"

The way to get it to display like this is to use an additional blank function in the text, such as:

[[ b ][ /b ]user=indigopotter] - in this case you need to type it without the spaces for it to show correctly. I think this will make things just a smidge easier for new users.

Hope this makes sense - it was tricky to work out how to word it

First, if you see it done, QuickQuote, at the bottom right of any message, is a fast way to see how someone has done something.

To insert an image from your gallery, or any BGG image, use and fill in an image ID number. These images can be clicked.

You can also add one of these modifiers (small is the default) after the number (these must be in lower case):
micro small square medium large original

And you can also add inline after the size (or alone):

etc.

To insert an external image use and insert the URL (right-click and copy image location, or something similar, depending on your browser. This is the same image by URL, and it is not clickable, though works.

You can also add external images inline using the [ INLINEIMG ] and [ /INLINEIMG ] tags (take out the spaces). This is how I make and appear in the middle of text like this.

Also, [ MICROBADGE=(number) ] such as [ MICROBADGE=3542 ]: mb (Just hover over a microbadge and look at your browser's where-will-this-take-me area, usually the bottom left. The number at the end is what you want.) You even get the microbadge tool tip.

I've CAPITALIZED the commands to make them easier to distinguish, but lower case works, too.

If you're not quite sure what I've done, QuickQuote and you'll see my code.

Yes, that's why I try to always do the actual thing, and have them quote me, to see it in action.

Or you can color the first [ black, as it usually is:
[microbadge=750] gives mb
