I think it could be HUGE. It would need a couple of tweaks due to the genre change, but I think it would work.

I'm pretty sure WotC no longer has the Star Wars license.

WotC is not renewing the SW license, so this likely won't happen.

Too bad! I always thought a SW Heroscape game would rock the world.

Who else would?

Considering Lucas at one point owned 9% of Hasbro before they bought back some of that, and Hasbro has a toy deal with Lucasfilm through 2018, I don't think Lucas licenses for games are going anywhere from WotC, but to Hasbro proper.

nope. they're done with Star Wars. i had an idea for a Ravenloft type game using the SW Minis/rules and the tiles WotC published for use with the SW RPG line. i was just tinkering around with it (and getting nowhere)...

the tiles are still listed on amazon.com
http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Galaxy-Tiles-Supplement/dp/0... but they're oop.

basically, the game would recreate a chase sequence between two players.
one player would pursue the other through a maze like complex made as the game is played with the tiles. the chaser's squad would be revealed piecemeal as the tiles are laid out, and the chasee's squad would have to achieve a goal to escape the scenario (ie. find the turbolifts etc).

the players would take turns placing the tiles, so building the maze would be a strategic part of the game. combat would be governed by the Star Wars Minis rules. the Star Wars movies are full of chases so i thought it would be kind of an appropriate theme.
