One of my twin girls is really into pirates now (not sure how that happened, but whatever...) and I was wondering if the community had any recommendations for an age appropriate, pirate-themed game. Thanks for your help!

Two ideas come to mind...

1. Pop-Up Pirate!; and
2. Pirate Versus Pirate

Pop-Up Pirate is very easy and a lot of fun for very young kids, whilst the newer 'Pirate versus Pirate' may require a little assistance, but has fun figures to play with!

I say ye be wantin' Skallywaggs

It has a concentration like game where you are attempting to be the first get the parts (heads, bodies and legs) of 5 pirates. I forget what the little game is called, but it is in the rules of Skalleywaggs

That was my first thought as well, although in my experience younger children can have a bit of trouble blowing the bellows effectively. Still, my kids really enjoy it when we break it out, even if the 4 year old needs help!

No fair! They're using brains against us! We removed our brains to make room for guns and explosives!

Was going to be my suggestion. My five-year old (nearly six now) plays this one fine.
