Ok, so this is my first proper post on here and I'll start by saying I love the game and think this expansion is brilliant.
It adds loads concept, mechanics, story and physical bits wise.
But something has been bugging me about it. The unique items seem quite imbalanced with regard to who benefits from them:
Sally: Two items - Sally's Pendant and Asylum Inmate Roster
Jade: Two items - Jade's Dairy and Jades Skateboard
Stacey: One item - Reporter's Notebook
Sam: One item - Sam's Dog Tags
Rachelle: One item - Rachelle's Police Vest
Father Joseph: One item - Father Joseph's Bible
Victor: One Item - Victor's Handcuffs
Billy and Sherriff Anderson: Share one item - Antique Revolver
Also we get mentions but no benefit for
Johnny - Johnny's Jacket
Victor - Victor's Handcuffs [Edit - as pointed out below Victor's rage ability gives an inherent benefit as it means he could have up to three bonus dice from hand weapons]
(and if you like adding the townsfolk to your plots/post game story telling session
Doc Broady: Two items
Jeb: One item
Lizzy: One item
and nothing for Principal Gomez, Mr Hyde, T-Bone, Farmer Sty, Deputy Tailor or Coach Parker
but they don't matter as much as they're more flavouring)
The real loosers here are
(Johnny and Victor for benefit if not story wise)
and the commonly agreed worst character for special abilities - Jenny
Does this bother anyone else or am i just being really silly? (I'll say now it doesn't prevent me enjoying and using the expansion at all!)
It just seems that there was a missed oppertunity to help Jenny and other 'weaker' characters but instead the person who can benefit the most is Sally (ok and Jade) who is one of the top two students for most people and also one of the best fighters generally.
Do we know if there might be more Unique Items/Survival Tactics/Grave Weapons coming with future expansions. If there are it would be nice if they took care of the people who seem to have no belongings in the town to hold close and give them strength (although Jake having anything in town would be a little odd i grant)
Thoughts anyone? All opinions appreciated. And i also realise that coming up with the deck mechanics and all the cards is a tricky enough job for the developers without counting out for everyone, i just have a lot of time on my hands today!

You raised an interesting point. How were the Unique Weapons designed? Was it creating cards to match the flavor, or adding flavor to already designed and playtested cards? Hopefully, someone from FFP will answer.
[no use for a name]
I'm affraid this is a only marketing trick to make you buy Hero Pack One.
I think Victor sort of gets a benefit from his handcuffs because he gets an extra fight dice from them, while still being able to carry two other hand weapons. That means with the hand cuffs alone, he wins on ties, rolls three fight dice, and can wound any zombie he beats. As for the others, I feel like they, especially Becky, needed some. Doc Brody's Med Bag should have allowed Becky to heal herself if she had it.
I had some ideas for some future unique items.
Combat Bonus: Hero may reroll any of their fight dice. Also, henever hero wins a fight, they may draw a hero card on a roll of 5+.
After each use, roll a dice. Item breaks (is discarded) on a 1.
This item benefits Jenny especially, cuz with her it never breaks. Also,
Play 3 can markers on this player. Player may discard a can marker to make a ranged attack. Range: 1 Zombie in space may not move next turn and if a grave weapon, is returned to a normal zombie on a roll of 3+.
If on Kenny, may discard a can marker instead of an item to use his Clean Up On Isle 7 ability.
Discard if no can markers here.
I also thought it'd be cool to have an item that gives someone Jake's ability, but if on Jake he could keep both cards, or something to that effect. Just some ideas.
Very good point about Victor's Handcuffs. I hadn't thought of that benefit coming from his abilities.
Nice thoughts on the other items. I really like the item breaks on a one for something belonging to Jenny! And thematically you can't beat giving Kenny some cans of sweetcorn/soup etc.
I guess Flashlight is close to Jake's ability already (although it can't be undone which i have been caught out by sometimes). So some form of flashlight or similar belonging to him would make sense relating to his ability?
