I give up. The term is banded around (Although not in the FAQ glossary) and just when I think I've got a handle on it...it slips away again. What does it mean? Who does it refer to? What does it satnd for, and wasn't he one of the Dwarves in Lord of the Rings? (+2 modifer in close combat against Orcs)
