Re: Earning power tokens
OK in our last game it seemed like we had WAY too many power tokens earned so I wanted to ask how do you earn them.
We played that if you played a consolidate power chit in an area without a crown you earned ONE power token.
If you played a consolidate power chit in an area with a crown you earned TWO power tokens
BUT (and here’s where I think we messed up) we also scored areas we controlled but did NOT have a consolidate power chit in. In other words if you controlled an area with a crown printed on the map you got ONE power token. Is this wrong?
Do the areas with crowns printed on them ONLY score when you have a chit in them or when a card tells you to scored them?
Hope the question is clear, thanks in advance.
You get Power Tokens in two instances:
1. In the resolve consolidate power orders phase that comes after all of the march orders are resolved. This is done exactly as you describe, but ONLY in the areas that have placed consolidate power tokens.
2. When the Game of Thrones card comes up (one of the Westeros Cards in the second stack). In this situation, you get a token for every crown in the areas that you control at that instant.
Hope this helps.
Oh, and one more:
3. When you raid other opponent's consolidate power token
