This is a Christmas card exchange.

You'll sending your target a Christmas card. And (hopefully) get one from someone else.

RULES:

1) All BGG members may join, you have until November 14th to join. At this point, Targets will randomly be assign to each person who is involved in this program.

2) The Geek Christmas Card Exchange will be international. If you do not wish to send to a foreign country, I ask that you do not join. Postal shouldn't be too pricey.

3) Make sure your address is correct.

4) When you receive your target, go over their profile. From this info, you can decide what kind of card to send them. The card doesn't have to be pricey, but it should at least be thoughtfully chosen.

5) You only have to send a card, anything above and beyond would be cool but not expected.

6) The Geek Christmas Card Exchange is all about the giving, not the getting, so be prepared that the person who is sending you a card may be a jerk and not do so, or send you crap. Idiots do abound - and I urge you NOT to join The Geek Christmas Card Exchange unless you plan to send a card.

Post any discussion or questions to this thread.

How do I sign up?

We are now using the GeekExchange system for the trade. Please go here in order to signup:

Thank you and take care.

Is this only one-to-one, or can we sign up for multiples? I didn't see a way.

There must have been a moment at the beginning, where we could have said no. Somehow we missed it. Well, we'll know better next time.

I was going to join, but... why are email address and phone number mandatory fields?

Will these be public to all participants if I enter them?

Will they be public to the person who is assigned me as a target?

I'm not sure what this is but the 4th Annual BGG Christmas Card Exchange will open around Halloween as it has the prior three years. Here are the links to the info from prior years.

The one that's been running for several years gets underway around Halloween and I'll personally be doing all the target assignments and such so that I can accommodate special requests and multiple targets and all that other good stuff.

I hope people wishing to cooperate in the official exchange won't be confused by this one.
