Life is not a game - games are life.
One of kind of quest involves scouting a general. There's an oblique reference to scouting in the rules, but nothing else. What we've been doing is going to the location where the general is, defeating the minions, and then spending an action to "scout." Is this correct?
The Quest cards themselves tell you exactly what to do:
"Travel to (General's) location and spend one action scouting."
So you go to a location with a General and spend one action. That's all there is to it. You do not have to defeat any minions since the card does not tell you to do so. You can, of course, house rule that you must defeat all minions in a location before you are able to spend the necessary action to scout the General if you wish.
We all know how big a fan Richard is of house rules.
