A copy of my yahoo WD group recap.
End of a Samurai 7may 1944 scenario.
Note: 1 Speed unit = 50mph. 1 hex= 300yards

Solitaire.

Zero and a F4F Wildcat in a traditional dogfight. LH circle getting
tighter as the speed bleeds off. Zero slowly picked up advance and
got the first shot -missed.

Wildcat1 tried a dive -but Zero tailing and got a few hits,
hydraulic landing gear.

Wildcat2 entered from N at max dive speed in nice lag pursuit.

Wildcat1 tried now desperately a climb (decelpoint at speed 3.5
really hurts!)and Zero unable to shot at 0 distance. Speed down to 2
and no more maneouver/turning options. Zero lined up perfect at six.
You cant get it better. Wildcat pilot wounded. Thanks to cockpit
protection +2 he did not get killed. Aileron hit and nav
instruments. But the Cat lost all of its 9 lives and airworthiness
dropped below Zero (sorry!)

Wildcat2 too late to save his friend. But interesting set up.
Wildcat2 approx 500ft higher and speed 6. Zero shallow climb at
speed 2 -but slighty better position, will be close a to a small
lead pursuit.
Distance approx 6 hexes.

Wildcat3 entered game with a twist. Missed the setup rule and
Wildcat3 entered from N at max dive speed. Afraid to be too late
this time, the Cat lined up to center of dogfight.

Zero leveled out and picked up speed incredebly fast -just a few EZ
turns and Wildcat2 missed his golden opportunity.

Wildcat2 cut in lead pursuit too early. Zero got initiative and was
able to fire. Deflection 150`and out of wing ammo - just a minor
scratch. Takes a long time to kill a cat with only M2 noseguns.

Just had to laugh about Wildcat3. Overshot the dogfight close to max
speed and rolling from left to right he ended almost offmap S.

Both Cats widen up circle to confuse Zero and try to coordinate next
line up. But just a few turns left. Wildcat3 did a wingover and was
able to fire distance 1. But 150` deflection - dive/level deflection
and speed difference the Cat missed -even with a long burst.

Last turn the Zero entered a long dive -out of wing ammo.

Summary:
Zero fired 4 times with 1 kill. Wildcats was only able to shoot once
and missed.

Game should certainly be more even with a correct tailing Wildcat3
setup. But as a solitaire it was an interesting experience anyway :-)
