Hello.

After my first play (US Victory by 12+ ressources on last phases), I have some questions (I think I will have more after a couple more plays).

1°) 9.6 says : Draw from the discard pile randomly among the highest-value jihadist-associated event cards. If non is available, use Oil Price-Spike for operations (only).

a) Is highest-value always 3 or actual highest-value ?

b) Solo Oil Price-Spike event : Like all unassociated event in solo play, are Ops points available to Jihadist player after having resolved the event ?

c) Is a ressource victory possible by play of this event ?

2°) Can Predator/Special Forces target Sadr counter (even if among other cells ?)

3°) Fatwa : "Trade random cards". Can you explain me ? (exchange of cards between players, how many ?)

Thank you for your answers. Sorry if some have always been posted on this forum but it seems not.

And this is a GREAT game (more game options than TS/asymetrical operations for two players/reserves/two card combinations, and I am a FAN of TS).

1a) Highest among available. If there are no 3 ops, use 2 ops, etc.
1b) Yes
1c) Yes. It's the main purpose of the card, but it cannot create an automatic a reshuffle win for the US solo player since the effect lapses at the end of turn before you try and draw new cards.

2) 9.3 OPERATIONS
9.3.1 Choosing Cells. For operations or events from Jihadist card
play, choose any Active cells within a country before Sleeper cells.
EXCEPTION: Choose Sadr last.

3) Trade one random card. If solo play, it will be the top card of the jihadist deck then the US pulls a random card from their hand and places it on top of the jihadist deck. "9.2 Sequence Of Play Event instructions to take a random Jihadist card would take the top Jihadist card."
If 2-player, each player pulls a random card from the other's hand.

Thank you for fast answers.

1c) Is timing of Resources-US Victory different in Solo and 2-Player game ?
2.1.1 says "instant" for 12 resources with good governance and I see no different rule in 9.1.

2c) 9.3.1 talks about Jihadist event but Predator/Special Forces (in solo play) may only be triggered by US play because they are US-events...

1c) My bad. It can't help the US for a reshuffle end of game condition but still applies to an instant win.

2c) I would still play it with Sadr being a choice only if it is the last cell. Maybe Volko or Joel can comment on this.

The US could use "Special Forces", "Predator", "Tora Bora", "Iran", or "Hizballah" to remove Sadr, even if there are other cells in Iraq. 9.3.1 governs Jihadist card play.

Thank you very much for your complementary answers.

I'm very impatient to make another solo-game (and a two player game as jihadist player).

It looks like my TS will take the dust...
