We played our first game of Primordial Soup last night and I don't think we understood the rules for using Struggle For Survival. The rules state that you can only attack once per amoeba before you starve. We took that to mean that your amoebas could not become killing machines and once an amoeba killed an opponent, that numbered amoeba could not kill again until it left the board and came back. Of course, this required us to write down the numbers of the amoebas that had killed. Can somebody please explain the rules for using this gene?

Re:Struggle For Survival
An amoeba can attack only once per turn, but it may attack more than once during the course of a game. The statement in the rules that an amoeba can only attack once before it starves is there to prevent multiple attacks against other amoebas in a single turn (if, say, the first attempt is thwarted).
