Camelot Legends is indeed a more costly but later reincarnation of The Venture Card Game! So before spending $$$ on the high quality production version, you might want to check out the free version first to see if you like the game.

Has anyone played both "Camelot Legends" and "Venture"? I'm not 100% certain on the exact differences between the two games, and it might be helpful if someone could set the record straight about how they are different and similar!

Hi, Ender's game.

Here is a brief summary of the difference between the mechanics in Camelot Legends and Venture.

1) There were no Final Events or Special Locations (such as the Isle of Avalon) in Venture.

2) Venture had 3 Artifacts and 3 Titles. Camelot Legends streamlined this concept into just 3 Special Cards.

3) Camelot Legends has 3 levels of play. Venture only has one set of rules.

4) Since Venture was based on the Renaissance Festival, it included a "Performance" ability which was emphasized at the "Curtain Theatre" location. For Camelot, we converted "Performance" to "Cunning" and centered this ability on the "Cornwall" location.

Thanks!

Andrew
