I wonder if FFG's new reprint will also include such revisions.

FFG is the North American distributor of the game. Nexus is the publisher.

From what I understand, Nexus makes it and FFG just distributes here in the states, so anything Nexus does to it, will end up at FFG.

My big question is: Will there be a German version of this reprint?

With Phalanx Games Germany's recent troubles, the question poses itself.

I really do hope they make revised versions of the decks available.

It'd be kinda neat if they offered the boards alone, too, since they look so nice. It'd be fun to chose what season to play in! I don't know how many people would spring for one, though. Seems like it'd have to be at least twenty bucks, probably more!

Some people seem to be under the notion that the reprint will include the 'Battles of the Third Age' expansion.

That would be terrific if true and reason enough for me to buy the game..again! but has it been written anywhere by Nexus or FFG if that will be the case?

People have been wheedling for that, but that's not unusual. The only person in the know who has told us about the reprint is Roberto, and he said nothing about including the expansion. Basically it's going to have the larger cards, and the map art will change to match the CE.

The revised edition of WOTR will not include the expansion components.

We definitely plan to expand it in the future, with the strategic components from Battles of The Third Age, plus additional new components, most likely with a single expansion box. However we're not ready to announce this in detail at this stage.

This is still good news. I know several people with the base game who have been trying to get the expansion for quite some time. Waiting is hard, but knowing that something is in the works helps.

Roberto,

Thank you for the info! A non-collectors 'collectors' version including WOTR and BotTA would be REALLY fantastic wouldn't you agree?

This is VERY good news for someone who has neither the base game, nor the expansion... and would like both!

Will the additional new expansion components be available in a collector's edition format, or at least be compatible?

Roberto:

Thank you for taking the time to bring us up to date with this information. I can assure you that this news has been long awaited by the WotR crowd. I hate to pick your brain, but I have to ask one question.

When you say

I am so hoping this means further expansion rather then extra components to use in the existing game. I guess I will have to be patient and wait for the official announcement.

I already have 2 copies of this game, but I would buy a third if the nations each had their own color plastic. StarCraft had 6 colors...
_______________

Edit: Aw, who am I kidding? I'll buy it in any case, just to support the sane cards.

Yeah, I'd definitely get another copy of the minis were in different colored plastics, that would be great. I've seen some of the sets here that have been spray painted and they look really nice.

This is really good news. I have been looking at this game for a year now, and didn't have the heart to fork over $150 to buy it off ebay or the marketplace. It'll be a blind buy, but I'm going to go for it on this reprint.

Hi Roberto, I just read this, but I hope you will consider to at least add the cards of the expansion to the deck in the revised edition, and to the deck that will (probably/maybe) be made available for separate purchase. Without the additional cards people that own the CE (me) and people that own both the base set and the expansion will not be able to replace their cards with the new set.

By the way, I finally got the CE to the table for an all day game this Sunday and it was an amazing experience! This game is awesome!
