as the title says - i would like put all the bits & pcs from the game into a plano box (or something similar) and was wondering what are some recommended ones (along with their model numbers)?

i also have the FOTM expansion, so if i can find one that holds the base + expansion that would be the best.

all comments are appreciated.

Re: agricola + expansion plano box recommendations
I've spent quite some time looking for the perfect Plano box for Agricola and its expansion, and I finally found it: model 3700.

Trust me. You won't need anything else!

I use a 3650, which is more than adequate for my needs (FotM expansion, but no ani/vegimeeples).

Re: agricola + expansion plano box recommendations
Harbor Freight has these small containers that come in a larger bin.

I have picked up several of these and use the small boxes for many of my games.

If you pick up two of these and fill the larger box with 27 of the small containers you can fit all of the resources and player pieces in the bins. It makes for a very easy set up and the large container fits in the base Agricola box with room for several decks of cards.

Here is a link to the box. Many people in my gaming group have since used this setup after seeing it.

A friend of mine uses the original box supplemented with little plastic Gerber's baby food containers. The ones that look like the plastic lidded lunch meat containers when the deli is closed, but smaller. Kind of like a stereotypical Tupperware container, but not as robust.

Fair enough.

Here's the case, opened to show all its bits.

And here it is closed, with a standard tile next to it so you can see the depth of the case.

Not with all the card decks, no.
But I just keep it next to the game box, and it works just fine.

alot of great ideas. but for the most part, only if you have the time & ability to do them. i am looking for something that i can buy and use 'straight out of the box'.

I hope that this does not divert this thread too much but I am curious about what the most useful size Plano box for organizing any euro type game might be. Is there a standard size you organizing gurus keep on hand?

I like the Plano 3449. The long rectangular compartments are easier for me to get my fingers in, instead of the square ones.

I always switch depending on the game.

I kept the player pieces in separate ziplock bags, as they were easy enough to take down and store that way at the end of a game. And they're plenty of room for them in the original game box.
(Otherwise I would have had to go to a bigger Plano case, and I didn't want that.)
