Life is not a game - games are life.
My Hemlock mini has the same issue as my Sapphire did - it tips backward and its wings are too folded. For Sapphire, I used the hot/cold water trick to get its wings to unfold, and to bend down its feet so it would stand on its own. Since Hemlock is painted, I'm worried the paint would come off if I dunk it in near-boiling water. Should I be concerned? Has anyone tried to fix their Hemlock using this process?I won't be receiving my copy of The Dragon Expansion until Monday, so I can't say for sure with Hemlock. However, I have used this treatment on all manner of painted minis in the past and never had a problem - so I'm quite confident the same will be true for these minis as well. My own Hemlock will likely need some sort of adjustment and I will not hesitate to use this treatment. I'll let everyone know how it goes when I do.
EDIT - I forgot to mention I don't want to glue Hemlock to the large, ugly black base provided with the game. I just think it looks nasty on the board. That's why I'm pursuing another solution.I completely agree. I would never spoil the beauty of my minis with that ugly thing!
