Any one remember that group?

Since we had a thread about IFW, just wondered if anyone was a member of this one.

AMERICAM WARGAMING ASSOCIATION, George Phillies, and Keven Slimak (sp) ran it. From the mid 1970s to the late 1990s or early 2000 if
I recall.

I also came across a couple of issues of Tricolor, an issue of Solider News Factory, 2 issues of Graustark, some Wargamer's Newsletters (Donald Featherstone) and a newsletter called Blitz (SNCL edition)...no idea what SNCL is.

All of it is late 1960s to early/mid 1970s. A glimpse back in time

George Phillies is a user here, but he doesn't say much.
Mostly he hangs out at Stalingrad, his favourite game.

Besides the AWA, George was involved with the Strategy Gaming Society that started at MIT.
They had a newsletter called Strategist, that ran for a long time - died out about 10 years ago (I was the editor for 2002, one of the last years, so perhaps it was my fault).

I joined it back in the late 80's but I never got very involved with it (much to my regret). Seemed like a great group of blokes, though.
