Yes, they are very sturdy. In fact they are not easy to break apart once assembled.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3998830/OrigamiDice2cm.pdf and http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3998830/OrigamiDice3cm.pdf , respectively. Download them as I can not promise they will be there next week ...

I started the upload for these files to the Misc Accessory, but it takes some time to get the approval for them.

Edit: see my post some below to find the BGG links to the PDFs; they are uploaded and approved.

What software did you use to create the diagrams?

I can't, because the sources of the PDFs I created are not wordprocessor documents. But maybe bithalver could provide the Inkscape sources: SVG file(s).

Please post the Inkscape-file (SVG?)
That would make it sooo much easier to create custom dice digitally.

Thanks a lot for your work!

OK, I can post the SVG file (actually the two PDFs are produced from one file), but you can edit the PDFs in Inkscape as well.

I will update when the SVG is available.

Origami dice plans for 3cm and 2 cm inner size are available (at this moment in PDF); the admins were fast .

Edit: ... but until then, use the link: http://db.tt/oKYJkm7 (Dropbox; the link lives until I get the approval for the uploaded one)

Edit: svg file approved (so dropbox file deleted), see my post a lot below.

And even more thanks for informing me that its possible to import/edit PDF in inkscape! Wow... I never knew. What a myriad of new possibilities!

/off:
1. You can edit one page (from a PDF) at a time in Inkscape.
2. If the PDF contains fonts you do not have installed -> bad luck.
3. Use pdfsam to merge the produced PDF pages to one PDF document.

Should I open a geeklist/topic about Inkscape usage for PDFs ?

Hm... maybe it would be even better to start a more general geeklist along the lines of "Inkscape-Tricks for boardgamegeeks" and collect all kinds of info there?
Or does something like that already exist here?
