I was wondering what sleeves are you using if any?

I have seen these recommended on the sirlin forums:
http://www.cardkingdom.com/catalog/item/126230

I expect to use these cards quite often and feel that the sleeves would be necessary in my case.

Any tips on where to buy for the cheapest and what kind you recommend would be great!

Thanks,
G

I used penny sleeves. Haven't had any problems. If they wear out too fast, I'll get more expensive ones.

I recommend KMCs as well. I always get a 10-pack of the clear doubles (W) from potomacdist.com when I place an order there.

I also use FFG sleeves. But they're on the expensive side.

Dragon Shield. Expensive but I love them.

Not if you buy their clear or plain sleeves. They are, by far, the best sleeves for the money. I tried the penny sleeves and they don't fit very well.

I see you guys mentioning Dragon Sleeves.

Are these the ones that come with the box the same thing?

http://miniaturemarket.com/inc/sdetail/657214

Have any of you seen this before? Any feedback on the box quality? Not sure if I should go out and get what's on that link or just invest in the actual sleeves instead.

Thanks,
G

There are local tourney Magic players, in my area, that swear by Dragon Shields.

Are these the FFG Clear sleeves you guys are mentioning?

http://boardgameguy.com/products/Fantasy-Flight-Supply%3A-St...

Just making sure I make the correct order.

What is the correct size for the KMC sleeves? I saw 2 different sizes out there.

Thanks all,
G

I bought a couple packs of FFG clear sleeves to sleeve my Yomi decks with, but they seem to be a bit too tall. What I don't like with that is that with repeated shuffling, it usually ends up bending the corners a lot, which marks the sleeves.

I have also sleeved one deck with KMC perfect size (had a single 100cnt pack lying around) and they do fit perfectly. It's a shame I could only sleeve one deck with those, tho (since it only leaves you with 45 sleeves).

The rest of my decks I sleeved with Player's Choice, which are a bit longer than KMCs, but not as much as the FFG and they seem very good so far.

For those of you that sleeved using FFG sleeves, were they sticking out that much (lenghtwise) or was it rather ok? (wondering if I might just have gotten a bad batch, so to speak)

Thanks,

They stick out. I actually prefer it that way. Less fingernails from clumsy players scratching the top of the cards that way.

I shuffle sideways so the extra length doesn't matter.

Do the KMC Perfect Size sleeves really fit? They seem so tight that I'm scared to squeeze my Yomi cards into them.

I put one card in one and it seemed to bend. I panicked and moved back to FFG Silvers.

Glad to hear it's not just me. I did sleeve some of the "players guide" cards with the KMC sleeves, just to test them. They do look good -- very tight fit! But yeah, I worry about bending. For now, we're going commando (naked cards), but if the game remains as popular with my family as it is right now, I'll probably sleeve with the KMC sleeves.

I found the perfect size sleeves too tight, as well.
