I was wondering how I should pronounce the name of this game, and I stumbled across this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gosu

Now, it's possible that I am just naive, and everyone else but me is already aware of the reference to this meaning of the word Gosu.

I appreciate the name more as a reference to this gamer dialect.

and I'm happy that I don't have to pronounce it with a short o like in goblin.

Well, "Gosu" also has a meaning in Persian, colloquially. It means "a person who farts a lot". Maybe the designers were alluding to this instead?

Perhaps They were calling it Goblin Supremacy all along, but then they got tired of such a long name.... I certainly wouldn't naturaly find myself just calling it "supremacy," or just "goblin."
