I recently started listening to podcasts on my iphone after a 1 year hiatus. A bunch of the gaming podcasts are no longer up to date or active.

Can anyone recommend 4 or 5 good gaming related podcasts to listen to? Don't have time for em all!

I like all the podcasts listed above. Garret's Games and Geekiness is still going strong, as well.

Myriad Games Presentation is a good new podcast that I've been listening to lately. Their dramatic reading of the Prosperity introduction makes me laugh every time.

I like "The D6 Generation" and "Game On with Cody and John". I also subscribe to "Myriad Games Presentations" but the D6G are my absolute faves.

My vote is for The Dice Tower and The D6 Generation. And if you're into historical miniatures, and I doubt you are, I recommend the Meeples and Miniatures podcast.

I regularly listen to:

The Spiel
Game On! with Cody and John.
D6 Generation
On Board Games
The Dice Tower
Garrett's Games and Geekiness
Myriad presentations
How to Play

I have a long commute and all these save me from insanity.

I concur, and would also add in Game Night Guys if you fancy a bit of light relief (and will shamefully plug my own effort, The Little Metal Dog Show, if you're after an interviews based affair).

Woo! Shameless plugging works!

Seriously though, let me know what you think. I may be 15 episodes in, but I still panic about producing the show...

I enjoy All Games Considered. It's mostly about RPGs (which I don't play) but the cast has a great chemistry which makes listening a lot of fun.

Well, you guys are bloody good! I don't know of another show that goes into such depth when it comes to games (aside from Ryan's How To Play podcast, but that's less review and more instructional). Plus you make me want to try out tabletop minis, curse you.

Thanks for the feedback guys(tks Michael, I guess the comment was meant for us LOL).

We are really keen to cover 'The Hobby' of gaming in a 'Magazine' type format. Each fortnightly podcast will focus on an in-depth review of a Boardgame, plus discussion of news from the gaming World, and regular material on RPG's as well as Tabletop gaming (Warhammer, Warmachine and Malifaux etc) We are even aiming to look at Books that relate to the Hobby such as the Osprey series of military books, that can be a great resource for the more 'Historical' gamer (like me!)

The next podcast will be due out next week, and we are sorting out itunes access to make listening even easier.

The first two 'casts are available on http://fantasard.blogspot.com/

Any ideas or items you would like us to consider would be most welcome!

Cheers

Into The Gamescape has wheeled out a couple of new episodes recently which makes me happy - always been my favourite.

As far as regular or semi-regular goes my favourites are:

Garrett's Games and Geekiness
Boardgames To Go
Boardgame Babylon
On Board Games

....and The Spiel for sheer length.

The ones I like...

Garrett's Games and Geekiness (for Shelley's laugh)
The Messy Game Room
The War College
Boardgames To Go
Boardgames Babylon
Shift Run Stop (not a lot of boardgame content (some), but delightfully nerdy)

My top two would be:

Boardgames to Go (especially the shows with guests)
The Dice Tower

They both make me laugh and smile. I also prefer NOT having detailed rules explanations as part of the podcast.

I also listen to Garrett's Games and Geekiness pretty regularly.
