Is this the book you read?

James Dunnigan has the text of the 1992 version, along with some other intersting stuff here:

Not a book per se, but Dr. Phil Sabin (Lost Battles and Strategos) teaches a course in conflict simulation at King's College, might find some stuff of interest here:

There is some good stuff over at John Curry's website as well, he has been getting a lot of the older books back into print.
