When it is released, it will be posted here: http://www.ystari.com/wpe/?page_id=12

But the game was just announced so don't expect rules any time soon.

You could have an idea of the game here :
http://www.jeuxsurunplateau.com/fr/news/jeux/de-l-atlantide-...

It is in French but very instructive.

Hope this helps!

Most informative indeed, and it helped me practice my French again. I had to laugh at the phrase '... mais un seul s'il c'est un baba cool pacifiste...'; I had forgotten what a hippie was in that language.

Apart from that the game looks... well, sort-of like a Vinci II. Tikal vs. Tikal II is what I'm thinking of, here. There is the two-possibilities structure, either expansion (and conquest) or development. Conquest always succeeds, but costs you more or less actions on a Thebes/Tinners' Trail like scale. It's not that every round has, say, 10 action steps, and that's it; no, the action scale is composed of about 80 or 90 fields, and then the game is done. Then you get to develop stuff which augments your expansion capabilities (which sounds awfully familiar), or prepares your multiplier bonuses for the end. Points are, amongst other things, to be had from territories conquered (where have we seen that before). The gods in this game appear to be a bit of a capricious lot, striking out at the strongest or weakest player at random. You know when they will strike, and at the time at who, but not with what.

It sounds like a solid title, in any case.

From what I have understood, the gods do not strike at the strongest or weakest at random.

Instead, you collect lighting bolts. When the gods act, they either curse the player with the least lightings or bless the player with the most. So, having more lightings is always a plus.

Cyril Demaegd just said on Tric-trac that the rulebook should be available this week.

He should make the damn game available this week! I'm in France for holidays the coming weeks, was eagerly anticipating the moment I could support a small FLGS with an order for Olympos... But the game will not appear until several weeks after I've returned home cry...
