Monsterpocalypse is moving away from a collectible format. D&D is finished. FFG LCGs really aren't collectible.

Other than that, I believe the following are active:

The Spoils
Legend of the Five Rings
Duel Masters
Club Penguin
Bakugan

I am sure there are a lot more than that as well.

Battle Spirits, Naruto, and Dragon Ball from Bandai come to mind. The Spoils. Bakugan? If you're including the FFG LCGs, you should also include Summoner Wars and Lost Legacy. The D&D CMG game has been canceled. MonPoc has gone to non-blind distribution.

I think Dungeons and Dragons Miniatures has ceased.

I wouldn't count the Living Card Games as collectible. If you did you would need to include the Chez Geek, Fluxx, Thunderstone, ect.

Privateer Press has announced that Monsterpocalypse is going to stop the blind buy aspect so it will soon be non-collectable.

I think Spoils is still alive. No others come to mind off hand.

Conquest of Arthenia is, AFAIK, as active as it ever was. Not very wide distribution, though.

Isn't Shadowfist still kicking around after it left ZMan, or is it dead (again)?

Oh? What's the new model? They're not closing up shop are they?

Also, there is IRONDIE.

They are switching from blind random boosters to not-blind fixed boosters.

There's more than I thought and many I hadn't heard of.

I thought D&D minis were still around since they released Lords of Madness last year.

Also, I know that the designer for the Conan Collectible Card Game was close to a deal on a new publisher, but apparently the movie people aren't interested in games (or was it just CCG's?). If I am not mistaken, he's looking to use the same game engine for a new game.

I'd prefer Conan, myself...

Collectible generally means random booster pack distribution, so FFG's LCGs wouldn't be included. Monsterpocalypse is still alive but they are changing it to non random sets starting this summer.

D&D mini and Axis & Allies have been canceled by WotC.

I wish WotC would come out with something new again, so many of the collectible games they've dropped were great.

Not many of the collectible games left interest me, and I for one actually enjoy blind buy games.

D&D minis is canceled but Axis & Allies minis is still going strong. The next naval game set is due out in the Fall I believe. The next land game set (Late War) is due out early next year likely. And there is a new WWII fighter dogfight game coming in about a year or so called Angels 20. 1:100 (15mm) scale fighters. No solid word yet on any specifics but the initial indications are that it might be blind or semi-blind boosters.

Based on the sales of their Monsterpocalypse: Voltron – Defender of the Universe Battle Game adaptation of the collectable game Privateer decided to switch to non-blind. They have an upcoming Dreamworks movie based on the game directed by Tim Burton apparently and have a 2 player boardgame version of the game due out soon.

I thought there was another stand alone Monsterpoc game that was out but I couldn't find it on the Privateer site. It's not listed on this site but I did manage to find it:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1605842214?ie=UTF8&tag=arti...

So Privateer has had two stand alone boardgame type expansions to base their decision on. The collectable format just didn't work for them.

But Monsterpoc, from what I understand, was never really a hard core collectable game and I think it was designed like that from what I've heard. There were very few of the big monsters in each set and many game stores would sell opened monster boosters since each booster just contained a monster. So you could easily pick up just the monster you wanted. As for the smaller units, these were also fairly easy to come by. There was never a large number of units in each set and the number you needed to field an army was pretty small (

This is very interesting news! I got a couple of Monsterpocalypse starters and the guide a few years back when it first came out, but I simply couldn't justify another crazily expensive CMG after spending a good few hundred £s on Horrorclix (which is also awesome!), despite the fact that I loved this game! I'll be keeping a close eye out for the 2 player boardgame version... goo
