Soooo...

There is a Sealed Room Lock which seems to prevent any sort of entry. And Monsters ignore locks.

Can a monster just hide inside the Sealed Room? The only recourse I have found so far is the Shotgun (which can shoot through doors).

Sure, the monster can enter the sealed lock room.

BTW, the axe also cuts through locks.

The monster can hide there. But there will always be at least one item that will allow you to get entry. It just may be in a hard-to-reach place accessible only after following a convoluted key trail or such. At least, that's what happened in our game.

The Sealed Room Card states that the room is sealed, and doesn't provide any guidance as to how you get into the room.

The Axe states that it cuts through puzzles. I remember looking at both and discerning that the Axe didn't allow you into the Sealed Room. It does seem like it should especially given the circumstances.

(The circumstances in this case were Scenario 1:1A, 2A, 3A.)

As far as I can tell, the Sealed Room card is designed specifically to allow for areas of the map that the Keeper can access but the heroes can't.

Agreed. The Sealed Room in this case was intended as a Sample drop zone for the Keeper as the Equipment card underneath was a "nothing of interest"

The source of my problem actually seems to be more related to the 1A Objective card. I was using the uncorrected one.

I don't have the game, but in the rules, the Axe card that is shown says it breaks lock puzzles. Is there some sort of clarification that expands that to lock cards? What about lock cards that require a certain key to open them?

Edit: never mind, looks like this point was all ready brought up.

page 11 of the rulebook says:

Ahh. Hideous monsters from beyond space can ignore Lock cards, but not sealed rooms.

You misunderstand. There is a specific Lock card called "Sealed Room". There are also Sealed Door tokens, which are an entirely different.

Monsters ignore lock cards, including Sealed Room. They cannot cross Sealed Doors. And note that a sealed door does not automatically imply that the room cannot be entered, just that that particular door cannot be crossed.

I've tested the game, but haven't played it yet.
I tried the first scenario on my own to know how the game is played, before I introduce it to friends. But I didn't understand how the "Master Bedroom" could be accesed since every way in was blocked by a permanently Sealed Door.
So how do Investigators get passed those?

There is a normal door between Hallway 2 and the Master Bedroom in scenario 1. It is locked (different lock cards for the two options given), but that doesn't mean you can never enter the room.

There is indeed a sealed room card, and it does not have a specific key.

However, in the particular scenario in which it is used, an event occurs which discards all lock cards, which includes the sealed room.

Terence, if you found a sealed room lock on the master bedroom, you have done something wrong, because the master bedroom is never locked with the sealed room card in any scenario.
