This isn't a question on how to make them, but how can I read them when using my iPad?

Mouseovers generally don't work on any touchscreen.

You could do a 'Quote' reply and read it there and then cancel the reply.

QuickQuote will usually be faster if it is available.

If given the option, I would prefer to play with the green pieces, please.

I made one pop up on my droid once but I have no idea how I did it and I was never able to do it again. Hope this helps.

Here's a bookmarklet that should do the trick. Bookmarklets are little bits of javascript that you save as bookmarks and will execute when you click them. There are plenty of good articles via google for getting bookmarklets into mobile Safari if you don't mind me being lazy on that count.

To see it in action here, just copy the javascript code below and paste it into your address bar in Safari on the iPad and you should see the spoilers below turn on. This will work in most browsers, excluding older versions of Internet Explorer.

javascript:(function(){for(var s=document.getElementsByClassName('spoiler'),n=0,l=s.length;n<l;
n++){s[n].style.visibility='visible';s[n].style.color='#000'}})()

All the spoilers on this page should be visible after running the javascript

The bookmarklet works on iPhone 4, but how do you use it in the future? I assume you save the code in a note file and copy/paste when you need it?

Thanks!

I copied the code, saved a new bookmark of this page, then edited the bookmark, pasting the code over the URL.

If you could touch the alien sand and hear the cries of strange birds and watch them wheel in another sky, would that satisfy you?

That is fantastic. I've been trying to cope with this for a while, usually be copying and pasting the spoilers into Notes.
