Jerzy Hoffman is a recognized Polish film director.
I think that it is possible that the film will be shown outside the Polish.

Proposes to look there from time to time, it can display information about a distributor in the United States.

I'd go see it in the theater if it were subtitled and the DVD would be a must have.

I hope they offered that movie to the folks at Seattle International Film Festival....
...they consider lots of stuff out of the norm. Last year they showed an OK movie referencing the Finnish Civil War (Käsky/Tears of April):

...so they might consider this one as well.

I second the topic!
I am amazed by the quality of the trailer. Many in Poland believed that Hoffman will suck on this, but the impression is to put it discretely-positive. He is renowned for other epic historical films, but had been previously criticised due to a low standard in comparison to western productions.
If you're interested his best known work is the Trilogy based on Henryk Sienkiewicz's(Quo Vadis) books about the Polish wars of the 17th century:

1.With Fire and Sword (Ogniem i Mieczem)

2.The Deluge (Potop)
3.Colonel Wolodyjowski (Pan Wołodyjowski)

I play tested the game and it plays great. A unique combo of block and CDG with a good helping of planned (but not tedious) orders - a truely innovative and thoughtful blend.

Poland has often fought against great odds - this time it won big. Stalin never forgot or forgave the drubbing he got in Poland. Nice to see a modern movie with good production values on the subject.

I'll be defintely on the lookout for it. Thanks for the heads up.

Great video thanks for posting. Will definitely be checking that film out. Yep, Poland sure has had its fair share of hardship. Things haven't gotten much better. Only last year the Polish President and others in his Government and military leaders were assassinated.

Assassinated? Fringe conspiracy theories probably belong in the RSP forum...

Can't wait to see this movie.

Battle of Warsaw is referred as a Miracle at the Vistula based on shaky evidences. Poles - thanks to work of Jan Kowalewski [1] - broke the codes used by Russians; therefore they could plan in advance a counter offensive. The term Miracle was coined by commies in order to belittle Pilsudski.

As I understand it, it was invented as an attack on Pilsudski, but not by Communists, but rather by the Polish National Democrats in August 1920 (specifically, by Stanislaw Stronski), who sought to diminish Pilsudski's success by ascribing the victory to God.

The National Democrats, who were major critics of the "Kyivan adventure" and long-time opponents of Pilsudski, also tried to do Pilsudksi down by claiming that the counterattack had been planned by Tadeusz Rozwadowski (head of the general staff) or the French advisor Maxime Weygand.

Although, in this case the opposing forces seem to have been more or less the same size, and the war kind of ended in a stalemate.
