Cube Fusion is an abstract game for two, really a three-dimensional game of Nought & Crosses. There are five games recommended, even a solitaire version (which is really more a puzzle than a game). The object is original. You have to lose half of your pieces whilst obtaining half of your opponent's pieces, thus making all the pieces half mine and half his.

The pieces are cubes of perspex, inside of which are red and green balls.
Each turn you add one piece to the board. The cubes can be placed adjacent to each other or stood on end to create the 3-D effect.. Each piece must rest on something completely (the board originally or on other pieces already in play. If a piece is added on top of another, no over-hang is allowed.

Waddingtons have described the game as"An exciting modular strategy game". And it is a very good game. Tactics? Well they are really the same as in regular Noughts & Crosses. Apart from the solitaire game, there are four more games, each adding a little more finesse to the game. THis means that you can find a game suitable for your 8-year old, and another one for your husband or wife. It might have been inspired by a traditional favourite game but this has a very modern twentieth century twist.
