Wow, so this is what you get for 100 pieces of gold.
Player order: Gary, Norbert, Don.
Gary started with metalworking (keep scoring a tower card if you draw from the 1 deck), while I had the wheel (draw two level 1 cards). Gary decided to use metalworking even though it allowed me to share since I had three towers as well. Alas, I scored only1 card, and Gary scored around 5 or 6 cards.
Later in the game, Gary decided to use the metalworking again, and again, I had the same number of towers as him, and I scored a level 3 card, and I believe I drew Education into my hand (I can't be sure if I drew it normally, though). Gary had pushed out to an early lead, claiming the level 1 and level 2 achievements.
I used Education (return a card from your score pile, then draw a card of level 2 higher than your card in the score pule). I had a level 3 card there, so I drew a level 5 card. It was Physics (draw three level 6 cards and keep them if they are all different colors). The physics worked for me, and one of the level 6 cards was Atomic Theory (draw and meld a 7).
Don had used Masonry to lay down 4 castle cards and claim the achievement wonder. He had also played down Medicine to start taking away our top scoring cards and scored the level 3 achievement.
I was lagging in achievements, but I was at age 7 cards, while the other two were still playing at age 3 and age 4. Using Atomic Theory gave me Evolution (draw and score an 8 or, draw one level higher than in your score pile). I did use Evolution twice, the first time to score an 8, then the second time to draw an age 9 card. I thought it might be a mistake, since Don used his medicine to rob me of my scored 8 card.
The 9 card I drew was Satellites, which lets you draw three age 8 cards, and meld one. The one I chose to meld was Mobility, which takes away two of your opponents non red card without factory symbols. As it turns out, I was ahead in factory symbols, and 4 cards soon went into my score pile, two each from Don and Gary. The only downside of Mobility is that your opponents get to draw an age 8 card. They both played their age 8 card next turn, and activated it to put down some feeble resistance. I couldn't remember their age 8 cards, since it didn't impact me too much, I used mobility again to take their age 8 cards (plus other cards) and put into my score pile, then claimed an achievement.
Second verse, same as the first. I might have used mobility again one more time for good measure before I ended the game with 5 achievements to Don and Gary's 2 achievements.
Don had no cards left in front of him. Gary had three cards left (all with factory symbols). My only regret was not getting rid of all of Gary's cards so I could claim I stripped two squealing pigs.
