"Are you pondering what I'm pondering Pinky?"
"Wuhhh... I think so, Brain, but if a ham can operate a radio, why can't a pig set a VCR?"
Someone was telling me, "Inflict x damage on target minion" in a chain does not carryover to the player.
What if you have overwatch two kicking before shock and awe.
Overwatch Two's kicker: Target player's minions cannot block damage from card text.
Overwatch Two kicks off of Shock and Awe
Sock and Awe chain: Inflict 3 damage on target minion.
Overwatch Two resolves first.
It seems you are mistaking blocking damage and having damage inflicted. The kicker on overwatch two is meant to prevent minions like Vulko and bad smoke from absorbing damage directly dealt to the player, that is all. They usually do this by "blocking" that damage.
Shock and awe inflicts 3 damage that is dealt directl to the minion, and cant be blocked anyhow. These two card effects don't interact. Blocking always refers to preventing damage to the player, not to minions.
And no...effects that "inflict damage" to a minion do not carry over to the player.
