In this episode, we explore the recent explosion of popularity of the deckbuilding mechanic and talk about some of the pros and cons of this new gaming favorite. To that end, we review Nightfall, the brand new deckbuilding game from AEG. Plus, we might even give you a bonus review if you "survive" until the end of the show!

I'm guessing we'll see deckbuilding combined with other mechanisms.
For example, A Few Acres of Snow combines deckbuilding with a wargame (thematic reason - with the long supply chains, it took a while for requested troops /suppiles to become available)

But I could see deckbuilding with area majority (to add certain cards you need to control certian areas) or worker placement (to take cards place your worker - can be shut out of certain cards)
