I don't know if it's just me, but it seems that number of quitters or people with bad sportsmanship has increased on BSW. When playing St. Petersburg or Tichu (especially tichu), about 1/4 of the games I play will end with someone quitting. And worst, it happens with players who have W8+ ratings... which I can't remember happening much in the past.

Other than adding people to my "bad" list, which does nothing.... is there really anyway to screen out these players? With tichu, I always start my own games, set the game to "drawseat," won't let any W4 or below join, and ask each player to stay to the end. And it STILL happens.

It is just aggravating. shake

Not always an option for everyone.

You should be able to report them... I'm not sure of the process, though.

Well, overtime you could develop a list of player you recognize as being good sports about things, and only play with them.

Nothing in gaming to me is more satisfying than coming from behind and winning. A sensation many will never experience. Maybe let them know that during game and they may not quit so early.

Breath in ..

Breath out ..

Repeat after me:

Quitters never win, winners never quit.

But those who never win AND never quit are idiots.

Quitters don't really bother me. People usually quit because I'm beating them, so when they quit, I just consider myself the winner of that game, reset, and look for the next game.

They now track whether players play a game to completion, so you can see in their info if they are someone who abandons games often. They also have player ratings, so you can give quitters low ratings and avoid them.
