Although I understand the concept about where monster can or cannot be placed, I'm a little fuzzy on exactly how many monsters I can place:

Can I only place one monster per command, per action within a command, or is it just once per turn?

For example, let's say I chose the command that gives me 3 monster actions. Can I place 3 different monsters, or just one?

If monster placement is limited to once per command, can I choose monster actions as my second command choice (in a 2 or 3 player game) and place another monster, or am I just limited to one placement per turn?

Thanks in advance for the help!

In a 1-2 Hero game: 2 monsters
3 Hero game: 3 monsters

For each Monster/Command action you can only place 1 monster, have to use the other actions on moving monsters/minions or healing minions.

Really ? I thought there was a limit of 1 monster per turn.

I think Rauli means actions, not monsters.

You may place 1 monster each time you choose the monster action. So the first time in the game you choose this, you may place one new token and move the 2 minions on the board.

If you choose this action again (even on the same turn), you may place one new token and use the remaining moves on tokens/minions already on the board. (including healing a minion)

Hope this helps.

Actually I meant monsters, as in, direct answer to the question in the subject .

As for limits:

"- Sauron may only place one monster token with each
“Command Monsters and Minions” action (regardless of the
number of commands it provides)." (p. 18)

but no other limits like one monster per turn. It's all how you want to spend your actions.

Perfect summary of the rules, thank you!
