It's fun, it's healthy, it's good exercise. The kids will just love it. And we put a little sand inside to make the experience more pleasant.

You know, they say there was a man who jumped from the forty-FIFTH floor? But that's another story...

I am asking the chit-chat community to decide what kind of pie I should make next.

I am leaning towards lemon meringue but am open to about anything.

Any suggestions?

As it is spring, you should be making pies with fresh berries.

Maybe Blackberries?

Maybe?

Lemon meringue pizza. Now that might be a challenge for me. I haven't cooked a pizza in a while...

lemon meringue is the king of pies.

key lime is good too, but i've had so many second-rate key-limes.

mmm...perhaps i will make a lemon meringue too.

are you making it all from scratch? pie crust too?

i've always liked making pumpkin pie, but it's not the season, and i got sick of them a few years ago.

I usually make the filling from scratch. I want to try the crust today too... it's not too humid today.

Low humidity? You're welcome to some of ours. It's only 91 today but the heat index is over 100

Actually I think it's more of an ice cream day here than a pie day.

I don't know the backstory... have you tried Strawberry Rhubarb, that's a favorite of mine.

For lemon-meringue, I usually use what in the US is known as a Graham cracker crust. Much easier then other pie crusts.

With the heat wave coming this weekend, I'm thinking more along the lines of Frozen [Strawberry] Yogurt Pie, preferably w/ chocolate graham cracker crust.

Another vote for Key Lime and Banana Cream pies. Minimum baking, Maximum goodness.

If you can find the Emeril Lagasse Banana Cream pie recipe... I highly recommend it.
