How come it skips "hot"? It just goes from "normal" to "very hot."

Looks like your thermometer's broken. It says it's 110. That can't be right.

I don't have a picture, but it's cold and rainy here in California. I heard on the news it snowed quite a lot last night in the Sierra and around Tahoe. It should be at least 90 degrees this time of year. I, personally, am enjoying this prolonged Spring, though.

Ooh a little higher, now a bit to the left, a little more, a little more, just a bit more. Oooh yes, that's the spot!

43.3 in the new money. That's definitely hot, probably even counts as very hot here too.

What you see is a typical "Gulf Coast Thermometer." It's pretty standard for the temperature to go from Normal to Very Hot without any transitional category. And, yes, 60 degrees is considered cold.

Where as 75 degrees (F) is still long sleeve weather for me (if there is any chance of a breeze or shade)

Heh, 75 degrees is nearing my heat limit! Once it's over 80, I pretty much stop going outside if possible.
