In an experimental mood, are we? Vandemonium tried that a couple of years ago. Ask him how it worked out.

Let's get things back to basics with Lucky's shuffle.

Upminster Bridge

ninja Which is as close to Swindon(town of origin of my former RPG buddy and staunch Britisher, Chris) as one can get via tube, I believe. Perhaps some helpful Londoner could confirm? Shouldn't Mr. X have to drop a clue at this point? ninja

A change to rule section 5A.12.b in the 2009 ruleset allows Elephant & Castle as a counter to that move.

Not so fast. Let's not forget the '74 ruling (twice since upheld upon review) regarding transfers between lines! Using a standard Central Line move, let's try...

Epping

Ballsy. Let's try Gordon's Loopback which takes us to Barkingside.

Nice move. Wood Green was an illegal play, but under the Japo-Scandinavian edict, Epping makes it retro-actively valid.

I prefer some of the lesser known classic counter-moves, such as Down Street. "I always enjoy pulling out The Burrow in a bout of Mornington", Sir Winston is reported to have said. "Throws the buggers off their game."

Wow! Talk about beginner's luck. I'm stumped about the next move.

Cockfosters is always a legal play but only if looping is allowed.

Can we get ruling on loops?

While we're waiting for the umpire, I think this is legal whether we're allowed to loop or not (he said, smugly...)

The obvious move is the Gorgon Pinch to Kew Gardens, but I think that's overly conservative.

I think the better move is something not seen since the Epstein-Barr marathon match back in '48 (I think). The Fullerton Push cracks things wide open with a move to Embankment

Too easy. Silver Street is the obvious move.

Crap. Forgot the Hertenford Ruling of '97. Um, Brondesbury Park, I think.

Moorsgate. This is permitted by the Schwartzchild Continuance, which comes into play when passing from Embankment to Charing Cross.

Moorsgate . . . Moorsgate . . .

I know I'm missing something here. What's stopping me from simply jumping in at this midgame juncture, placing the last three players in knid, and playing the Grossman Gambit to Southwark?

Or is there some Kate and Wills ruling that has not yet reached us in the colonies?
