Hi folks,

When firing artillery or moving pieces, does the game allow for diagonal adjacency, or does adjacency have to be orthogonal when determining things like artillery fire, movement, etc...?

In any game with irregularly-shaped spaces, I think it's safe to assume that adjacency is only orthogonal. The map in Gettysburg's older brother, Waterloo, is carefully sectioned off so as to avoid producing diagonal connections, so perhaps the assumption doesn't hold in this case.

The only thing you can trace diagonally in Gettysburg is artillery fire. Movement and command must be orthogonal.
