Im looking for a game with simple rules, quick set up and play. A very light filler along the lines of zombie dice

I'm guessing if I didn't mention my design, Food Fight! I would be doing myself a dishonor. It is light, easy rules, and quick gameplay (especially after you know the rules and have played a game).

The correct answer is For Sale.

No filler I've played offers more depth of play for as quickly as it can be explained, IMO.

Knizia's Loco!, produced under different titles. It's more like 30 seconds to teach, 30 seconds to set up, and, while it does play in just a few minutes, the nature of the game is such that you'll want to play several hands.

For Sale is indeed a good recommendation.

Even shorter to explain is No Thanks!, which has only one decision to be made (repeatedly) but there's a pretty delicate mix of timing and risk taking to do well in it that makes it a good game.

Spot it! is lots of fun and plays quickly. To teach it, just say "Any two cards has one and exactly one picture in common between them. We will now play a few different games that revolve around spotting what picture is in common." Describing the games themselves also takes about one additional sentence. Maybe two.

Sneaks & Snitches is a game about trying to guess and outguess your opponents and has a feel similar to a larger-scale "Game of Wits" from The Princess Bride. It's a couple of minutes to teach and moves very quickly after the first couple of turns when everyone gets the hang of it.

You are getting a lot of suggestions here, but Zombie Dice is a five minute game, and the suggestions you are getting aren't for five minute games. So, am I correct in thinking that you are looking for five minute fillers?

If that is the case, my two favourite five minute fillers are:

Katego: An area-control dice game played with regular six-sided dice for 2-4 players. There's a hefty amount of luck involved, but there are relevant decisions to be made throughout the game.

Babylon: A luckless two-player game about building the tower of Babel. In theory, it is solved for the second player, but I've never seen a human capable of figuring out the solution.

Hive may be a little heavier and longer than what you're looking for, but a game can usually be played in about 10 or 15 minutes.

These should fit all your criteria:

Worm Up! - fun, cutthroat racing that's over in less than ten minutes

Escalation! - simple card game that works very well

Tsuro - make sure yours is the last piece left on the board

Samurai: Just a few minutes to teach, few minutes to set up, and the game takes 20 -30 minutes.
Also alot of depth for repeated sessions.
