Special effects for tonight only:

Combat: Lycans have 1 additional strength.
Chain: Hunters enter play with 1 less health.
Claim: Vampires cost 1 less influence to claim.
Cleanup: Burn wounds draw 3 cards instead of 2.

David, any chance we can get more of these, or make it a regular thing? Not only does that sound like an awesome set of variants, but I'd love to see holiday themed tweaks to the game!

Sure, I can make my own, I guess, but it's not as cool...

I'm sure the player base could come up with some really cool ones, so here's what I try to go by:

Lycans are the most combative of the races, so modifying their strength and/or health is common. They also don't like ghouls.

Hunters are the best with utility, so center around the chain mechanic. They are also very fond of action cards.

Vamps are very influential and so tend to manipulate the claim step. They also feed on hunters and some can create ghouls.

Ghouls tend to horde and so best fit in with the cleanup phase when the players are refilling their hand. They also like to come back to life, so things like "if the top card of your discard pile is a ghoul, place it into play with 1 health" can cause some havoc.
