Hi, anyone knows the amount of time the sandtimer has?

Thank you very much.

Love 'em even if a few games get scuttled from time to time.

Mine was 95 seconds. The timer was by far the least well-made looking thing in the box, so I'm not surprised that people are getting different amounts out of it.

That said I had a blast playing the game and look forward to playing again.

I measured mine six times. It was 91.8+/-0.2 seconds in one direction and 97.0+/-0.2 in the other.

I'm getting 80 seconds.

(Similar threads here and here show 80 to 100 seconds.)

Luckily the accuracy of sand timers is not as important in this game as it is in others.

Our problem has always been the awareness of when it runs out, especially on a first round. We've started using stronghold game's timer app for iPhone which is great since the generic timer on that starts warning you at 10 seconds that time is running out. Helps add tension.

Don't you have a player who flipped the timer in order to impose a time limit on the other players, to tell them when the timer runs out?

Maybe he doesn't warn them that the timer is about to run out, so he can cackle hysterically when they launch with holes in their ships.
