(2) poviding advisory service on teaching how to play boardgame to Headmaster, teachers, etc.;
(3) holding a one time open boardgame competition in Hong Kong

Promote Boardgame as an intellectual hobby for students (901879)

Objective of our project
Introduce and promote boardgame in classroom. "Game" lessons for student.

Details of our project
Boardgames have been used as educational tools by all civilizations. The boardgame players will improve their analytical thinkings, logical projections, reflexes, memorial powers and imaginative powers by practicing them when playing boardgames. They will learn by playing and embark on their quests for knowledge on interesting topics while reading rulebooks, thereby improving their IQ. Interacting with other boardgame players in face to face gaming will improve their EQ as they communicate, persuade them while playing and also this will build up their personal relationships and making new friends. Further, their AQ will also improve as they need to handle stress and face problems. Nowadays students like to play Computer games. Sadly these games will make them self center and there are no face to face communications with other living individuals when playing them. Apart from the solitaire boardgames, other boardgames are multi-player games and they can also be used in parent-child activities. We shall set up a Boardgame promotion group"BPG". The BPG will be a partnership of Lamwoo secondary school and Kei To primary school who will use both schools as testing grounds for the project in the first three months. Then we shall host a practice workshop in Hong Kong for the teachers, students and parents to promote boardgames for half year. After the expiry of the nine months period, an open boardgame competitions will be hosted for secondary and primary schools in Hong Kong.

Our Budget and How to use the money
1. Coach fee (at least two coaches), around 40 sessions. Each session 5 hours. HK$40,000
2. Purchase boardgames: HK$300 each, as gift to around 200 schools. HK$40,000
3. Rent for hosting practice workshops and competition HK$40,000
4. Trophies for competitions HK$20,000
5. Adverisement HK$20,000
6. Miscellaneous tools and other items HK$20,000
Total: HK$200,000
Estimated start time: 24th October, 2011
Estimated completion time: 23rd October, 2012

As spoken, I am writing to apply for filming at the Hong Kong Society of Wargamers on the coming bi-week gathering at SOM, Wanchai. Kindly convey the message to the Committee of HKSW for their approval.
