Because they'll have pretty spry knees after awhile if so!

This reminds me of a possibly apocryphal story I once read about Joseph Smith's travels back in the origins of Mormonism. Apparently he and some of his fellows had decided to hoof it from St. Louis to Independence, forgoing various means of transportation in favor of actually experiencing the land, and taking its full measure. At some point along the way, he noticed that his knees were quite swollen and sore, and turning to Joseph Coe, another fellow named Joseph who was making this ridiculous journey, he said, "I sure wish I had a nice goat curry right about now!"

As I said, it may be apocryphal, but it truly makes you wonder about alternative medicine and the wisdom of those 19th century saints of the latter day!

Belated attribution to James Thurber for inspiring me with a love for religious esoterica.

No need to update us on its effect on your bowels.

I meant all the kneeling during Mass.

Not really. The woeful inadequacy of having been molested by the 18-year old who lived five doors down rears its ugly head yet AGAIN! Damn, why can't I understand these other sorts of molestation?? WHY!?!?!

And....scene.

This is why I shouldn't post after taking my nightly Turmeric supplement.

Hey... I am a fan of turmeric. I consider this harassment.

Suggestion: Get fresh turmeric (looks like ginger but smaller)... if you have a microplane that works best, grate it into hot olive oil and cook kale, spinach or other greens with some garlic, shallots, salt and pepper. Yum. It is also great in large amounts when making dahl (common at my game day). Many folks think turmeric is for color... it has a distinct flavor. I eat so much of it that I buy it by the kilo at the Asian / Indian market. (not the lost tribe of Israel American Indians, the Hindu ones...)

Harassment of the DELICIOUS kind! I'm going to make that dal and rub it all over my knees. If I do it before letting it cool a little, well, there'll be a whole new thread in town.
