Boardgames @ Pancake Parlour

When:
Tuesday 5 July 11, 6pm - Close (usually between 9.30 and 10)

Where:
The Pancake Parlour
East Rw (cnr Alinga St)
Canberra City 2601
(02) 6247 2982
Resturant area - Turn right as you reach bottom of stairs. (booked under Terry)

What to bring:
A few boardgames (not mandatory - a few of us usually bring a selection).
A smile.

Who:
Open to everyone that enjoys boardgames in a social environment.

Why:
If you're on this site, you love boardgames. What other reason could you possibly need?

The fine print
The usual request to consume something from the restaurant applies.

Payment
Please remember to settle your account as your leave or pay as you order. In addition, regardless of your payment approach, please ensure that the staff cross out your order once you've paid. We've had problems in the past where people have paid but the staff believe payment is still outstanding on a number of items.

Thanks in advance.

They explained everything in detail and at great length. After they finished I sat, despondent, contemplating a bleak and empty future. "I’m glad you’re depressed" said one. "It means you’ve understood the situation.”

Another good night. Not quite as busy as last month but still over 20 people which is excellent.

I enjoyed games of

Felix the cat in the sack
Battleline
Modern Art, and
Picomino.

Managed games with Sam, Brendan, Aidan, Deano(?), Liam, Helen and Merran which was good. Didn't get a game Hansa Teutonica, Tikal or LNOE but maybe next time.

Thanks to all that came along.

Thanks for organising it!

I think it was Dino, not Deano:

"Felix :*The* Cat in the Sack" turned out NOT to be a game of an Alpha male cat and his harem, but an auction game. Let's just say that the only pussy I pulled was all dog.

'Ideology' was interesting. Naturally as Karl and Frederick predicted, and despite the machinations of the capitalist-imnperialist front, the glorious people's workers' party won. The Islamic fundamentalist threat turned out to be a paper tiger.

That was the second meeting that I have attended so far and I've enjoyed it both times. Everyone has been very friendly, and I've enjoyed playing a bunch of new games.

And yes, "Dino" is correct.

Sorry I missed it.

The little man was sick and parental duites overtook gaming interests.
